Winter Cruising – where we went

Gulf Islands Winter Trip

Here is a quick synopsis of our itinerary:

December 31 and Jan 1 – Rang in the New Year in Princess Bay on Wallace Island

Jan 2 – hid out in Bird Cove by Maple Bay during the storm. Storm blew out the clouds and we enjoyed 4 days of sunshine.

Jan 3/4 – Got frozen over in Tod Inlet! Took the bus to Victoria for the day

Jan 5 – spent a lovely day on Russell Islands

Jan 6- clouds returned. Anchored in Bedwell Bay on Pender Island

Jan 7 – rainy and low cloud cover. Anchored in Tumbo Island – very shallow anchorage!

Jan 8- Great sail back to Spruce Harbour
