It’s a leak!

Leaks on a boat are nothing new. One can always expect to be engaged in an ongoing battle to banish all pooling water from the inside of the boat. Lately we have noticed an increasingly large puddle under the portside portlight. We avoided the issue with towels for a awhile, but when we came home to a soaking wet bath towel it was time to investigate!

In the end the surprise was not that the window was leaking, but that it was leaking from the bottom!

Quick fix: silicone to seal the outside of the window
Long term fix: rebed the window in the spring.
